Nomination of Female Experts as Media Speakers

The Media Development Center (MDC) at Birzeit University announces the compilation of a specialized directory of female Palestinian experts in all fields. The aim is to provide journalists and media institutions with a list of names and contact details of female experts in all fields who are willing to appear and engage with the media publicly.
The directory aims to promote a gender balance in numbers and professionalism by enabling women with expertise in different sectors to reach out to media outlets and participate actively in all aspects of public life, whether academic, research, professional, cultural, media, political or other scientific fields.
The directory of female experts for media institutions and journalists is a contribution by MDC to support female access to the media and to convey a complete, balanced and effective image of women and men in the media.
We therefore propose that institutions nominate female experts by filling out the application form attached. An expert may also nominate herself if she fulfills the relevant criteria.
After completing the application form, we kindly request that the expert sign to confirm that all contact information such as e-mail and telephone numbers may be made available to journalists to make contact and conduct interviews.
