The MDC is one of the leading training and education centers for mid-career journalists in the Middle East – and now you can read all about us in English.

For more than 15 years the MDC has devoted itself to enhance the professional skills of Palestinian journalists as well as to work for more press freedom for the Palestinian media.

The MDC has carried out thousands of courses and training sessions for Palestinian midcareer journalists and media professionals as well as initiated projects with the aim of enhancing press freedom, increasing media literacy, empowering female media professionals, and supporting research on Palestinian media.

The MDC started out in 1996 with only a radio unit but now offers courses within a broad variety of fields including investigative journalism, TV production, photo editing, documentary making, etc. and also has its own news paper (Al Hal) and a radio platform (Birzeit Radio). But in a time of continuously evolving possibilities for news outlets and media, it is also the ambition of the MDC to be a national and regional front runner when it comes to education and development in the area of new social media.

We therefore invite you to be a part of our web site through this blog.
