Journalists and legal professionals discuss a draft law on the right of access to information upon invitation from the MDC in Gaza

Student journalists , academics and legal  professionals demanded development of a draft law on right of access to information; to fit with the goal of it, and supplement the law with Regulation explanatory  that defines terms more  and defines functions of relevant  applying authorities .
The participants confirmed during a workshop organized by the Media Development Center in Gaza City on the importance of law and the urgent need to it , they also linked it to reached resolve of the political division and the law approval by the Legislative Council.
Nibal, the Director of the MDC, opened the workshop via " Skype " and pointed out that this workshop is the second organized by the Center to raise a broader discussion about the drafted law for the beneficial observations and amendments .
At the end of the workshop , the coordinator of Monitoring and Evaluation at the center; Imad Asfar, through Skype assured that the MDC will sum up recommendations and observations and all recorded materials by colleagues in Gaza and the West Bank and then file them  to the Council of Ministers to be taken into account in the development of the draft , consequently, to reach the aspirations of everyone.
