Completion of communication strategy for media professional

The Media Development Center at Birzeit University finished a course in communication strategy for media professionals. The workshop was led by world-renowned communication coach Munsif Bouhafah, who was born in Tunisia and now lives in America. The session lasted 30 hours and included theoretical and practical information on verbal communication skills for journalists.

The course included the following points:

1. How to be an effective spokesperson for a foundation in press conferences, interviews, and public conversations.

2. The ability to deal with the reputation of the institutions, whether negative or positive, in media coverage of particular events.

3. Cohesion of visual images and spoken material and tone of voice during interviews and public statements.

4. Understand journalism requirements and how to connect your media organization with other media organizations.

The course was held from Oct. 15 to Oct. 18. 12 media professionals attended the conference from different bureaus of the Palestinian Authority throughout the West Bank.
