The Media Development Center at Birzeit University in partnership with the Coalition for Integrity and Accountability (AMAN), launched a Curriculum on Investigative Reporting in Corruption cases, in the presence of the course's authors from different universities, members of in its arbitration and revision committee, and interested male and female journalists. This partnership between the MDC and AMAN Coalition, contributed to launching the first curriculum of its kind in investigative journalism in Palestine, and the sixth that the MDC added to the media teaching process.
The curriculum is planned to be integrated into the study plans of universities and colleges that offer bachelor's and diploma degrees in journalism and media, both in the West Bank and Gaza Strip.
It is worth mentioning that Birzeit and An-Najah Universities have already started teaching this course in the first semester of the academic year 2021/2022.
The curriculum responds to many questions related to the legal and institutional environment and the basics of preparing investigative reports related to corruption cases, and how journalists can protect themselves during the process of preparing the investigative report, especially in the absence of a law on the right to access information.
