Village Voices

Year: 2012
Partner: Heinrich Boll Foundation
Summary: Radio is the second most popular media outlet in Palestine. But still, many Palestinian radio journalists lack proper training and professional knowledge in how to produce high quality radio programs. This project  engages voices from the people in villages on radio about social, societal, cultural, economic, and political issues. The purpose of this project is to improve radio journalism on feature story telling, ensure the watchdog role of radio stations at local level,  humanize socio-economic issues’ coverage by radio stations and include citizens in the public sphere and debate.
